New Light Works

My new light works are unique artworks, created from elements of 3D scans of plants that translate the organic form into geometric “drawings”. I select and manipulate these fragments and the resulting image is a totally new shape, unlike anything else. This shape is then laser-engraved and cut from perspex. The perspex shape is attached to a handcut wooden mount, fitted with LED lights and powered by a rechargeable battery. The resulting combination of contemporary technology with hand-crafted elements is a sculptural artwork and a light or lamp, beautiful to look at and to light a room. The colour and brightness of the light can be changed by remote control or via a phone app, to suit your preference, mood or interior.

Light Works are a limited edition, and can hang on a wall or recline on a shelf. The slim removable rechargeable battery is hidden at the back of the work and gives about 30 hours of light before needing recharging. There is one Artist’s Proof (AP), and two each of five other Light Shapes, eleven in all. They can be displayed singly or in groups. Prices are available on request.
